Satoru Okada retires from Nintendo

 Satoru Okada has retired
- he's the director of Metroid, Kid Icarus and Super Mario Land
- he also created the Game Boy alongside Gunpei Yokoi
- Okada was the General Manager of Nintendo's Research & Engineering department
- this department was responsible for developing handhelds
- Okada was the chief developer of the Game Boy Color, Advance, Advance SP and Nintendo DS

Designed and released NES Zapper, the No.1 selling toy of the year in Japan.

Desighned the Nintendo's first handheld game console, Game & Watch.

Won the Good Design Award three times with the Game Boy series, Game Boy Advance SP, Game boy Micro and Nintendo DS Lite, which the department was in charge of.

Created Nintendo Game Boy which was selected as the National Toy Hall of Fame in 2009.

Setting up a record in both Game Boy and Nintendo DS series for its over 100 Million seller.
