[PS4/VITA] Anunciado Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna

Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna é o nome do novo RPG da Square Enix em colaboração com o estúdio Tokyo RPG Factory.

O jogo será lançado algures em 2016 para PlayStation 4 e PlayStation Vita, segundo confirmado oficialmente durante a conferência da SCEJ no Tokyo Game Show.

De momento não existem detalhes adicionais, a companhia apenas aproveitou o evento para revelar que está a trabalhar neste novo jogo e que faz parte do seu apoio às plataformas PlayStation.

Pra quem não lembra essa é a nova IP que a Square anunciou no final da conferência da E3.

Na teoria, ta tudo perfeito pra mim. 
Se tiver uma ost fodona e personagens carismáticos é GOTY.

Valores de produção tão meio baixos hein, achei até que era pra 3DS, mas mesmo assim as animações no combate que mostraram tão meio "duras".

Mas devo pegar, adoro JRPG old school.

Não achei tão bonito também, tá ok pra um jogo do Vita. Child of Light é low budget também e mais caprichado, mas Setsuna pode ter mais conteúdo em contrapartida.

Só a felicidade de ver tentarem de novo (formando um estúdio próprio, com gente que jogava os RPG's clássicos na produção) já vale.

10 minutos de gameplay.

Square Enix previewed its new Tokyo RPG Factory-developed RPG Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna during a Tokyo Game Show live stream earlier today. The game is a 1990s-esque RPG for the modern era.

On the island on which Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna is set, a ritual sacrifice is offered once every ten years to keep monsters at bay. But when the monsters begin attacking long before the next ritual sacrifice, the next ceremony is decided to be held early. Setsuna, an 18-year-old girl with strong magical powers, is the sacrifice candidate.


The protagonist is her bodyguard, keeping her alive on an escort mission where she’s sent to die. There will be customization elements and such, which Square Enix plans to elaborate further about later on.

Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna features a world map that connects things such as towns and dungeons. While there are no enemy encounters on the world map, you can find items and explore.


While in town, players can talk to villagers to develop the story. If you look around, you can also find treasure boxes.




In shops, you can buy items, some of which Final Fantasy fans will recognize (Potion, Ether, and such). But there are also unfamiliar items like “Mistone,” which lets you run away from battles since there isn’t an “Escape” command.


In dungeons, battles begin when you make contact with the enemy. They’re symbol encounters, meaning that you see the enemy on-screen before the battle initiates, but battles take place right there on the area map. It’s a seamless transition from exploration to battle.



The battle system is the command-based Active Time Battle system. Actions available to the player include “Attack,” “Magic,” and “Item.” At the bottom of the screen are each character’s HP and MP, and below that, their ATB gauge. Next to that is an orb-like gauge with a snowflake in it, though it’s purpose is currently unknown.


Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan in early 2016. While there isn’t an exact release date announced, director Atsushi Hashimoto said on the stream, “Since it’s a snowy game, it’ll be out before it gets warm.”

Queria algo mais "aventureiro", planícies verdes... Aquela coisa bem oldschool.

Mas ta legal mesmo assim.

Que cara de RPG Maker, pqp.

Japoneses não conseguem separar nostalgia e manutenção de conceitos, de regressão e limitação, que merda.

É neve o jogo inteiro então?

Porra, nem pra usar o visual low key pra colocar o budget em variedade de locais e temas... isso ai é fundo de quintal DEMAIS, e olha que eu curto muito fundo de quintal.

Esse aí é o legítimo fundo de quintal de um cenário só... da Square Enix, uhauhauhuhahuauh.

Pra mim é Day One. Eu faço questão de apoiar esse tipo de projeto e curti a ideia por trás do estúdio. Gostei mais ainda depois de ver a demonstração (apesar que eu arrancaria aquela ATB sem dó, nem piedade).

Problema mesmo vai ser o preço e a qualidade/conteúdo. Já que vão começar com algo bastante simples, ainda que o budget seja mais limitado no aspecto visual, precisam caprichar no que der (battle system, dungeons, pacing, etc), mas não cobrar um preço absurdo.

Se não a gente cai no nível Compile Heart, onde jogo daqueles custa o mesmo que TW3, FFXV, Xenoblade X, e por aí vai.

Tem que ser algo no nível de Child of Light em termos de preço. Visualmente não será, mas pode ter mais conteúdo ao mesmo tempo.
