In a definitely unexpected turn of events Square Enix just announced that the rather successful MMORPG Dragon Quest X is getting a 3DS port, which will be released in Japan on September 4th.
What’s even more interesting is that 3DS players will be on the same servers as the already existing PC, Wii U and Wii platform, and the 3DS version will offer the full game without any missing parts of limitations.
The game will cost 3,800 yen (plus taxes) and will include 60 days of play time, a special in-game item (which will turn the hoverboard into a yellow slime), five ancient scrolls granting 1000 experience points each, a casino ticket equivalent to 1000 tokens, a poster and a lottery ticket that will grant one of several prizes.
You can check out the first two screenshots below. Unfortunately no further word has been shared about the already teased western localization.
