Xbox boss Phil Spencer wore a Battletoads t-shirt during the Windows 10 media briefing
earlier today.
Spencer is known for his various t-shirts. During Microsoft’s E3 press conference in 2013, he
switched t-shirts periodically. He wore the logo of Capybara Games, of Press Play Studios,
and of State of Decay, all of which had or saw Xbox One announcements. At E3 last year, he
wore a Limbo t-shirt. The game came to Xbox One late last year.
GameSpot caught up with Spencer following today’s event to ask if the Battletoads t-shirt
meant a new entry in the series was being worked on.
“I don’t think I’ve ever worn a t-shirt that’s been a complete head-fake,” Spencer said. “I
wouldn’t do that.”
Battletoads was created by Rare and is owned by Microsoft. It saw its first release on NES in
1991 and its latest release in arcades in 1994.
