Driveclub Game Director Paul Rustchynsky took to Twitter today to answer quite a few questions from the fans, sharing more information about the upcoming PS4 driving game.
First of all Rustchynsky mentioned that the game is actually not using the PS4 camera for mugshots (actually, the game doesn’t use it at all). That feature was just used in a bespoke demo at E3 last year. On the other hand the animation that shows our character getting into the car (which we know is still in the game) will happen each time before a race when we select our car.
Each race can be set up to last up to 25 laps. Rustchynsky also promised that while DLC plans are still being put together, there will be “plenty” more cars and tracks coming after release.
He the explained why there isn’t car performance customization in the game:
We’re just not that sort of game. Its about immediacy, accessibility and fun. So they’re all to real life spec.
Finally, he mentioned that “hopefully” there’ll be more info coming before the game’s appearance at Gamescom, so we’ll stand by for more in the next month or so.
